Railway Level Crossings

Railway Level Crossings

The Challenge:

John Holland CRN and ARTC are committed to level crossing upgrades across regional NSW.

The Solution:

Why it's important?

Over the years, we've undertaken many survey and engineering designs to upgrade level crossings across regional sites. These sites are in towns, on highways and remote farm country.

Often, our surveyors are kept busy whilst they criss-cross the country performing detail and property boundary surveys so as to allow our designers to do their thing and produce a set of construction documents. This survey is important. We need to know what railway and local Council road infrastructure is on the ground.

Most of the crossings are in a poor state. The building program increases public safety, operational efficiency of rail and road, and is a good return on investment both economically and for public health.

It's important the crossings are designed and built to current standards. This means our surveyors often provide construction support. After all, the road and the rail levels have to match.
