West Tamworth to Westdale Railway

The Challenge:

The client required a feasbility assessment to determine the cost to reopen part of the West Tamworth to Barraba line. 

The Solution:

The deliverables allowed the client to assess the viability of reopening the line to allow industrial and processed agricultural freight to the transported via the rail network.

Project management was a key skillset for this project. The tight deadline meant almost daily discussions with the client, key stakeholders, internal technical staff and sub-consultants. 

Final deliverables included reports on dilapidation, preliminary design, signalling, structures and a review of environmental factors.
